The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
The Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser raises funds for one of United Way Bruce Grey’s core priorities: “From Poverty to Possibility.” This initiative funds essential programs that tackle food insecurity, utility assistance, homelessness, and the provision of school supplies for students from low-income families—fostering lasting change and hope for a brighter future.
With United Way Bruce Grey directing proceeds to community-based initiatives carried out in Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation by local partners such as the Southampton Rotary Club, the funds raised in CNOY support individuals and families who face the challenges of poverty. These efforts aim to create lasting change and offer hope for a brighter future.
Your support is more critical than ever, as the demand for assistance has surged—food bank usage has doubled, and over 600 people are currently on the waitlist for housing in the region.
Join us on Saturday, February 28, 2026, for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk. Together, we can provide essential support to vulnerable community members in Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation, making a meaningful difference for those in need.
