The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!
United Way Perth-Huron's Northern Huron and Area Community Committee invites you to walk with them to end chronic homelessness.
Walk in support of the newly opened Northern Huron Connection Centre; a welcoming place offering basic needs such as light meals, a shower, washroom facilities and laundry along with support through partnerships with numerous agencies.
Homelessness isn’t just about sleeping on the streets. A person may be in a temporary shelter, incarcerated without a place to go afterwards or “couch surfing”. It affects almost every aspect of life including family well-being, employment and physical and mental health.
The start and finish line are at the Maitland River Community Church - 414 Josephine Street.
One round is 2.5 kms, two rounds is 5 kms. There will be two rest stops - one at the Maitland River Elementary School, and one at the St. Paul's Trinity Anglican Church.
