This year Vernon will be walking for the Upper Room Mission! Monies raised will be supporting our Food Security Program which served over 90,000 hot meals to those in need in 2017. The objective of the Mission is to help relieve poverty in our community by providing food and basic needs, with our end goal focusing on moving people towards self-sufficiency.
The Upper Room Mission serves those in need in our community through the operation of our kitchen services. We serve approximately 350 meals a day, 5 days a week, as well as provide food and snacks to over 450 school aged children and youth through our Healthy Snack Program. The number of families and individuals accessing our services has grown substantially so we are going to need your help!
Between 6:00 and 8:00 pm a warm, light meal will be served to all walkers and volunteers.
