It's cold out there. The Coldest Night of the Year is a covid-safe, family-friendly walk to raise money for charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger. Walk with us (virtually) on February 20, 2021 – there’s a place for everyone!
Homelessness is on the rise in North Durham. Most of those who are homeless in our communities do not live on the streets, covered in sleeping bags; they’re your friend’s adult child who moved home with their own children, due to the high costs of rent. Or the retired parents who now live in their child’s basement because they can no longer afford their own home. Whatever the reason, North House is always there to help and assist the most vulnerable in our community.
North House provides a spectrum of housing supports for those who are at risk or in crisis within the communities of North Durham.
Join us on February 20, 2021 to walk a mile in their shoes. You can’t truly appreciate how cold it can be for someone without a home until you’ve walked 2km, or 5km in their shoes.
