Virtual CNOY Day

This is your own self-organized walk! Here are some key things you'll need to do on February 20 (or whatever day in February you decide to walk):

  • Gather with your covid-safe bubble (or on your own)
  • Map out a safe 2-5 km route
  • Let someone know where you are
  • Bring a cell phone in case of emergency
  • Share online as you go! #cnoy21
  • Keep fundraising (half of all fundraising happens in the last week!)
  • Be safe and have fun!

About Truro Homeless Outreach Society

In January 2014, the Truro Homeless Outreach Society (THOS) was created to develop a year-round night-time emergency shelter for homeless men, women and families in our town. On April 1, 2015 we took over the fifteen bed shelter from the Out of the Cold at the First United Church. We have remained open and upgraded our guest accommodations since that time. Though we needed to close our doors for a few short months in 2017, we are excited to finally have a place of our own and have Hub House up and running.

We could not do what we do without the continued support of our amazing volunteers and community supporters. We need walkers, donors, businesses and corporate sponsor’s to again make this year’s WALK a success. So, bring your family, challenge your club, dare your team, compete with fellow employees, and show the country just how much your spirit can make a positive change in the lives of others in our community.
