About Red Door Family Shelter

Since 1982, Red Door Family Shelter has provided safe, temporary shelter to women and children escaping abuse, refugees fleeing violence and persecution, and families facing housing crises.

Each year, we support hundreds of women, children, and families affected by gender-based violence, food insecurity, and homelessness. On any given night, 60% of our residents are children.

Coldest Night of the Year is an opportunity to come together in solidarity and support of the families living at Red Door. Walk with us and show families at Red Door that a strong community stands behind them, seeing them through to a better tomorrow.
