It's cold out there. The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly walk that raises money for charities serving hungry, homeless, and hurting people in our community. Walk with us on February 22, 2020!

About ACAWS (Alberni Women's Services)

It’s cold out there but we are a community with a warm heart. We invite you to walk with us to support the homeless in Alberni Valley.

Women and children fleeing violence often find themselves homeless. Our Transition House provides a temporary shelter and safe haven. We also assist the families to find long-term housing as well as offering outreach and counselling services through our programs.

Our Drop-in Centre provides a safe nonjudgmental space for women, children and men in our community many of whom are homeless or near homeless. The centre provides crisis and emotional support and advocacy, along with referrals to other services within our agency and community.

In the last two years we have raised over $50,000 through this walk. With your help we can continue to make a difference.

Please visit our website, facebook page, or call 250.724.7111 e221 to learn more about our services.
