About ICCS Nanaimo

Island Crisis Care Society (ICCS) provides housing and wraparound supports for people across our community, walking alongside individuals as they work toward stability, connection, and living well. Our programs are built to respond to real lives, real goals, and the unique paths people take forward.

The Community Impact Fund is a key part of how we do this, and it is where Coldest Night of the Year donations are directed. This fund gives ICCS the flexibility to support people in the ways that make the most sense for them, at the time support is needed.

Because every situation is different, the Community Impact Fund can be used in many ways. It may support practical needs, life skills training, job readiness activities, or short-term assistance that removes barriers and creates momentum. This flexibility allows staff to tailor support to each person, rather than being limited by narrow funding categories.

Donations to the Community Impact Fund have a direct, local impact. They help build confidence, strengthen skills, and create opportunities for people to move forward on their own terms.

When you support the Community Impact Fund, you are helping ICCS respond with care, adaptability, and purpose, ensuring support is available in the ways that matter most.

Walk with us on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 and let's show Nanaimo that we care about our community!

  • 1. Login to FundHub, click “Enter $$ and Cheques,” create pledges for your cash donations, pay them off with your personal credit card, and keep the cash. OR...
  • 2. Write a cheque (made out to “Coldest Night of the Year”) for the total amount of cash you’ve collected. Mail it to the CNOY Head Office with your completed pledge sheet.
