The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!
In rural communities across Canada there is an epidemic of Hidden Youth Homeless. These youth survive primarily through 'couch surfing' and when all other natural supports fail, they sleep outside, under bridges, in parks, trailers, cars and abandoned buildings.
Cornerstone Landing is a non-profit, charitable organization that supports youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the County of Lanark, located just West of Ottawa. We are the only agency in the county dedicated to preventing, reducing and ending youth homelessness. In 2018, we launched a capital campaign using funds from events like the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) and were excited to purchase our first house in December of 2020. We now have 3 transitional beds for short term housing and have built Lanark County's first secondary housing unit (1-bedroom) for affordable housing. Our Tiny Home will be used as a detached secondary bachelor unit. Funds raised from CNOY help to make this possible!
