Event Day Details

Save the date - Event Day is February 20, 2021!

Hi folks, welcome to CNOY 2021. Things will be a little different this year. We are going virtual. Join your team and then walk your own route.

Start

We are virtual this year!

Join us this year from the comfort of your own route. Register as a team or an individual, fundraise and walk your own route. It's that simple. Post a picture while on your walk to our Facebook event page!

Toque Pick-Up Times

Walkers who raise $150+ (adults 18 and over) or $75 (children/youth 17 and under) will receive a CNOY toque as a thank you!

An organizer from our event will be in touch with all Team Captains to arrange a drop off of toques to distribute to their team members. Individuals who raise the minimum will be contacted personally for toque delivery as well. Have fun and stay safe!

If you have earned a toque and not yet received it, please reach out to Terrilee:

terrilee@terrileekelford.com

Virtual CNOY Day

This is your own self-organized walk! Here are some key things you'll need to do on February 20 (or whatever day in February you decide to walk):

  • Gather with your covid-safe bubble (or on your own)
  • Map out a safe 2-5 km route
  • Let someone know where you are
  • Bring a cell phone in case of emergency
  • Share online as you go! #cnoy21
  • Keep fundraising (half of all fundraising happens in the last week!)
  • Be safe and have fun!

About Cornerstone Landing

In rural communities across Canada there is an epidemic of Hidden Youth Homeless. These youth survive primarily through 'couch surfing' and when all other natural supports fail, they sleep outside, under bridges, in parks, trailers, cars and abandoned buildings. Cornerstone Landing is a non-profit charitable organization that supports youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the County of Lanark, a large rural area located just West of Ottawa. We are the only agency in the County dedicated to preventing, reducing and ending youth homelessness. In 2018 we launched a capital campaign that will allow us to build safe affordable supported housing for youth! We are excited at the prospect of being able to offer these vulnerable youth a clean, safe and supported environment from which they can finish school, reconnect with family, find employment and feel like valuable members of our community. Help us, help them!
