The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
Jubilee Church has been serving those most in need in Kenora and the surrounding area for 25 years. Offering supports such as Food Hampers, Emergency Transportation, Clothing, and Furniture, we aim to serve those experiencing hurt, hunger, and/or homelessness right here in our community.
We invite you to join us for the annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 as we raise vital support for our neighbours who are most vulnerable. One seemingly-small act of love and generosity can have a big impact on someone's life and it sure feels good to do good.
We are a non-profit Indigenous Ministry who provides daily outreach and supports to people who are working hard to navigate life's hardships and also those under-housed, facing food insecurity, mental health and addictions. So many people are dealing with life crisis and efforts to maintain a quality of life with less resources.
Our daily Drop-in centre is a safe space where we provide twice daily hot meals of breakfast and lunch. We also have a 8am - 4pm coffee corner. We provide public bathrooms, laundry, and other hygiene items. We provide a clothing bank, public phone and other administrative supports. We provide mailing address for those with no fixed address. We also offer a 10 bed Transition housing program which works with the wrap around services in the community to work towards a successful housing arrangement . We promote healing and reconciliation through healing and wellness initiatives and with building capacity with the people we serve. We strive to provide trauma informed supports as well as culturally appropriate services.
We need your help as we strive to make a huge difference in our community to continue our services. Please walk with us for the Coldest Night of the Year on February 28, 2026. Help us as we collectively challenge stereotypes and offer basic supports to people in great need. Coldest Night of the Year helps create awareness about the challenges of those under-housed and living in poverty and its impacts. We strive to provide low barrier services with compassion, great care, and hope for change, equality and fairness.
Our mission is to clothe the naked, help the helpless, to feed the hungry, love the unloved and guide the lost.
Miigwetch, thank you!
