The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
It’s more than a walk — it’s a way to care for our neighbours.
Each year, people across mid Huron turn to local programs and services for warmth, hunger, connection, and hope. Whether in Goderich or beyond, the supports offered by our community partners are there for everyone who needs them.
By fundraising and walking together, we’re helping ensure these essential programs continue to be there — for every person, in every community.
Your participation in the Coldest Night of the Year helps sustain the Huron Homelessness Initiative — including programs such as emergency shelter for women and children escaping violence, youth shelter supports, counselling services, food insecurity, Heart to Home, transitional housing for men, and the Huron Supportive Housing Advocate.
Join us as we walk to show we care and to help ensure no one is left out in the cold, hungry or hurt.
