Event Day Details

Save the date - Event Day is February 20, 2021!

The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly walk that is raising money for Elora House.

Elora House is a short-term shelter for human trafficking survivors. The money will be used to provide necessary resources for the women in the shelter.

Start

As we are virtual, please choose your own route.

Toque Pick-Up Times

Walkers who raise $150+ (adults 18 and over) or $75 (children/youth 17 and under) will receive a CNOY toque as a thank you!

  • Team captains will be picking up the toques for their teams and distributing them to the eligible walkers.

  • Friday, February 19, 7-8 pm

If you need another time, please let me know.

  • Pick-up Location: Guelph and Fergus

Have questions? Visit our FAQ section!

Virtual CNOY Day

This is your own self-organized walk! Here are some key things you'll need to do on February 20 (or whatever day in February you decide to walk):

  • Gather with your covid-safe bubble (or on your own)
  • Map out a safe 2-5 km route
  • Let someone know where you are
  • Bring a cell phone in case of emergency
  • Share online as you go! #cnoy21
  • Keep fundraising (half of all fundraising happens in the last week!)
  • Be safe and have fun!

About Elora House

Elora House is a place where we are providing safe housing and support for women exploited by sex trafficking. First and foremost, we show them love and acceptance in practical and loving ways.

We give these ladies a space that allows for transformation and restoration; for the hope of a life free from modern slavery. We invite the ladies to come here with the idea of rest and stabilization post sex trafficking. Our primary focus is on health and wellness. Our programming offers routine and balance. We provide 24/7 care at our home on the front line with professional, friendly and caring staff to be there for these girls. Our broader team is comprised of a cross-section of community members and organizations. This is in order to have as many resources as possible available to our residents. We are a "first stage" off the streets home and allow the girls the freedom to stay until we can find them a safe and healthy place to go to continue their recovery.
