The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money. Our charity is Elora House - a shelter for women that have been the victim of human trafficking. Team up, walk, and fundraise! It’s cold out there... but there’s no place like home.
Elora House is a place where we are providing safe housing and support for women exploited by sex trafficking. First and foremost, we care for them and give them acceptance in practical and loving ways.
We give these ladies a space that allows for transformation and restoration; for the hope of a life free from modern slavery. We invite the ladies to come here with the idea of rest and stabilization post sex trafficking. Our primary focus is on health and wellness. Our programming offers routine and balance. We provide 24/7 care at our home on the front line with professional, friendly and caring staff to be there for these girls. Our broader team is comprised of a cross-section of community members and organizations. This is in order to have as many resources as possible available to our residents. We are a "first stage" off the streets home and working towards a second stage home for long term support. We allow the residents to stay until we find a safe stable home for them
