The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!
Dauphin Friendship Centre provides social, educational, recreational, employment, health, cultural, family, and youth programming that benefit our clients. We also support other community organizations because when we work together, we can all make Dauphin and the Parkland Region a better place to live.
Our programs are open to anyone regardless of ethnicity age, gender, religion or ability and we pride ourselves on being inclusive of everyone.
Our staff are knowledgeable in many areas and will make inquires to other organizations if we do not have the resources necessary to serve you!
The Coldest night of the Year (CNOY) fundraising walk is a great way for us to fundraise for one of our food security programs specifically: 'Food for Thought'.
Food for Thought is in its 32nd year of operation provides a hot meal to any child who enrolls within the Dauphin catchment area, regardless of their socioeconomic status (SES). The reason we do this is so we are not singling out anyone, we teach and promote healthy eating, and the importance of food security. We provide volunteer opportunities and real workplace training for anyone interested. We also provide opportunities for growth and improvement by assisting with the cost of certificates for resumes.
Join us on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, for the Coldest Night of the Year and you too can make a big impact on the lives of those in need right here in our community.
Dauphin Friendship Centre will be the start and finish with the walking track at the Dauphin Rec Services building as the alternate walking space in the event of inclement weather.
