The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!
Food for Life has been Halton and Hamilton's leading food rescue and food security charity for 30 years! Working within the food system to capture surplus, healthy foods and redirect those foods to the communities and people who need them most, we fulfill our dual-purpose mission of protecting both people and the planet by Rescuing Food and Impacting Lives.
Each year we rescue close to 5 million+ lbs of food and distribute it to over 100 food access points supporting 4,000+ households each week!
We're walking in the Coldest Night of the Year on Saturday, February 22nd for the hurt, hungry and homeless in our community. We walk to support friends and neighbours and who rely on our services to nourish themselves and their families. Funds raised go directly towards our food programming and meeting the growing demand for food support. We know that there is nothing our community can't do when we work together. When people are hungry, hurt, homeless, nothing else matters. It all starts with food.
Starting location is Glad Tidings Church.
