It's cold out there. The Coldest Night of the Year is a covid-safe, family-friendly walk to raise money for charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger. Walk with us (virtually) on February 20, 2021 – there’s a place for everyone!
To arrange toque pick-up outside of these times, please contact Nathan at nathan@sccyi.ca.
Walk will start at The Center on the east side of the street and will end at MNP on the west side of the street. Participants will go through memorial park rather than around.
Route begins at The Center on the east side of the street and ends at MNP on the west side of the street.
The Swift Current Community Youth Initiative at The Center is driven by a passion to address the needs of youth today. We strive to make youth related resources, programs, and counselling readily available, affordable, and easily accessible. We seek to serve human needs, share the love of God, and be a positive transforming influence in the lives of young people and their families.
We offer programming after school and on weekends for youth in grades 6-12. These programming times provide a space for youth to hang out in a safe, non-judgmental and fun environment with staff and volunteers who care. Youth are also able to engage in free meals twice a week, as well as snacks throughout the week. We offer free tutoring, guitar lessons, and a free mentoring service for any youth looking for a positive influence in their life.
We are a community organization that strives to make a difference in the lives of all those we have the opportunity to reach.
