About The Grind Pembroke

The Grind Pembroke is a volunteer-driven, incorporated charitable organization (CRA Registration # 763530896RR0001) serving marginalized, low- to no-income community members in Renfrew County through outreach activities located in downtown Pembroke, Ontario. It provides a safe environment in which clients can receive available, non-clinical services in a dignified and confidential manner, and who can socialize and participate in support programs on their journey towards becoming more self-sufficient and fully integrated into community life. The Grind Pembroke strives to be agents of change in the community through its Coffee House Outreach, Shelter Services, Client Services Office, and Youth Services.

About Renfrew County Safe Shelter for Youth

Family & Children’s Services of Renfrew County (FCSRC) is a not-for-profit, charitable multiservice agency whose mission and values are to protect and support the development and well being of children, youth and adults in its care through integrated services, prevention and social inclusion. FCSRC is one of two charity partners for the 2019 CNOY event in Renfrew County. The Grind Pembroke is the other charity partner.

Thanks to the generosity of community members in Renfrew County, Coldest Night of the Year 2018 was able to raise over $40,000 to help save the lives of at-risk youth and adults. Homelessness is hidden. Homeless is a silent destroyer of human lives. Homelessness exists in Renfrew County. Please help us stamp it out. Support our efforts on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 as we walk the streets of downtown Pembroke to gain a sense of what it might feel like to live outside.
