The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
Community Connections Society (CCS) of South East BC is a non-profit organization offering over 25 programs from prenatal to seniors. We offer a complement of programs that support individuals in child development, childcare, housing, legal support, women's services, food security, and parenting. Programs are designed to support and empower individuals and families in Cranbrook and the East Kootenays.
We pride ourselves on being innovative and strive to meet the growing needs of the communities in which we live. A huge and growing demand has emerged in the housing sector.
To meet this need, all proceeds from CNOY Cranbrook will be allocated to our new exciting endeavour, developing a apartment complex with 8 – 10 affordable units and a mix of market and below market value units, there will be 35 units in total.
Times are tough, and more and more people are finding themselves experiencing housing insecurity. CCS is committed to strengthening our community and caring for those most vulnerable.
Join us, together we can continue to make a positive impact on our community!
Thank you to all of those who are participating, donating, volunteering, and supporting this amazing event!
Route will start from our Kootenay Child Development Centre in the Bellies to Babies section.
