The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Join us on February 24, 2024 - team up, fundraise, walk, and take a moment to look closer... because it’s cold out there.
Our event will be held as a lap-style walk on the site of the Brockville Shopping Centre (125 Stewart Blvd. Brockville).
Our CNOY event will raise funds for JHSKD's Leeds & Grenville programming which includes services for homeless populations, youth, and justice involved individuals.
To be a proactive leader promoting safer and more resilient communities through innovative and inclusive services.
In 2023, JHSKD brought Connect Youth under the umbrella of services, allowing us to significantly increase our capacity to serve the communities in Leeds & Grenville.
Funds raised from CNOY assist with:
-Providing basic needs items (food, clothing, hygiene) to clients
-Delivering life skills programming
-Creating and maintaining collaborative services in our community
-Offsetting programming expenses
CNOY also assist us with raising awareness about the causes of homelessness, promoting community involvement/response, and bringing together local residents for a powerful, fun-filled evening.
