About Souls Harbour Rescue Mission Bridgewater

Join Souls Harbour for an extraordinary adventure this winter at the "Coldest Night of the Year" fundraising walk! When the temperatures drop and the city sleeps, our community needs its heroes the most. Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, based in Nova Scotia, is a compassionate nonprofit dedicated to addressing food and housing insecurity, poverty, addiction recovery, and mental health challenges. With nearly 15 years of service, we have established a strong presence in Halifax, Lower Sackville, Bayers Lake, the Eastern Shore, Bridgewater, Truro, and Sydney Mines. Souls Harbour operates Mission Mart (Thrift Store) and five Freemart Centres, offering free essential supplies, meals, shelter, and holistic support to low-income families, individuals with disabilities and addictions, homeless populations, refugees, and disaster victims. Souls Harbour also runs the #SoulsMobile, a mobile outreach across HRM using a refurbished ambulance, staffed by certified crisis diversion professionals.

Souls Harbour programs include:

Emergency shelters for the homeless.

Mobile outreach services delivering emergency supplies and to HRM encampments.

Addiction recovery programs and disability support initiatives.

Restorative conflict resolution and housing support services.

  • Together we change lives from Bridgewater to Cape Breton.
