About RaY - Resource Assistance for Youth

“RaY was my family when mine was gone, a true friend when mine were fake, help when I needed it most and compassion to get me through those days.” - Taryn

For over 20 years, RaY has been providing Winnipeg’s most marginalized and under-resourced youth with the means and supports necessary to escape the street life and transition into one of independence. Our mission is to “provide youth with what they need, on their terms, to better their lives.”

Youth come to RaY six days a week to have their basic needs met and to find the support needed to realize their hopes and dreams. RaY believes in low-barrier access, a harm reduction philosophy, and that it truly takes a village to raise a child.
