Over the past eleven years the Surrey Homelessness and Housing Society (SHHS) has been Leading the Way Home for people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness. Since 2007, SHHS has provided over $4 Million in funding to Surrey organizations that assist people experiencing homelessness. The Society has supported over 55 projects with more than 50 partners. SHHS effectively uses funds to be strategic and responsive to local needs and fosters collaboration to provide support for Surrey non-profit organizations. The Society supports initiatives that focus on creating housing, building sector capacity and “Made in Surrey” solutions.
In partnership with the Surrey Homelessness and Housing Taskforce, whose membership represents the many hard-working service providers across Surrey, we are inspired to bring the Coldest Night of the Year event back into Surrey City Centre in 2019.
