In rural communities across Canada there is an epidemic of Hidden Youth Homeless. These youth survive primarily through 'couch surfing' and when all other natural supports fail, they sleep outside, under bridges, in parks, trailers, cars and abandoned buildings. Cornerstone Landing is a non-profit charitable organization that supports youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the County of Lanark, a large rural area located just West of Ottawa. We are the only agency in the County dedicated to preventing, reducing and ending youth homelessness. In 2018 we launched a capital campaign that will allow us to partner with our local college to build safe affordable supported housing for youth! We are excited at the prospect of being able to offer these vulnerable youth a clean, safe and supported environment from which they can finish school, reconnect with family, find employment and feel like valuable members of our community. Help us, help them!
