The LDFB is a community driven and supported organization that relies on community donations and volunteer support in order to provide short term assistance to an approximate population of 85,000 people.
It was created so that those in the community/region in need had relief of food insecurity. We are here to work alongside with other helping agencies and to help fill a gap when needed.
We are looking for community support to raise funds for the Food hamper program. Funds are used to purchase perishables items to add to hampers as well as to purchase non-perishable items as needed.
We welcome all community members that are within the service area for the LDFB to come out and support this worthy cause by walking 2, 5 or 10 km. It will be cold out there, but the warmth of community will help to overcome the dark and cold. Together we can make a difference for those less fortunate in our communities!
