About Airdrie P.O.W.E.R.

Airdrie P.O.W.E.R. is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide women in Airdrie and District with the means to leave an abusive environment through emergency resources, education and empowerment, thus creating a safe and sustainable community.

The Airdrie P.O.W.E.R. Women's Day Shelter is a free, welcoming facility for women who are experiencing domestic abuse. We provide resources, connections, and a safe space for women and children to access the support they need. We are committed to providing an inclusive, low-barrier facility. Airdrie P.O.W.E.R. meets each woman where she is at, and by supportive listening, we create a personalized plan to help her achieve her goals.

Domestic abuse is a complicated and difficult situation to navigate, even more so when you're on your own. Airdrie P.O.W.E.R. strives to ensure women in Airdrie do not have to walk this difficult road alone. The care, understanding, and help we provide can make this journey easier, safer, and lead to better outcomes for families.

Unfortunately, demand for our services has only increased in this past year. We need your help to raise the vital funds needed to ensure we can continue helping women escape abuse and live safer lives. We thank each and every walker, donor, and volunteer that makes the CNOY campaign such a successful fundraiser and allows us to keep serving our community.
